Yoga - An Antidote to Better Health

Greetings Readers. First of all, let me wish you all a very Happy New Year.

With the fresh new beginnings of a whole new calendar, I thought my first blog of the year should be about the betterment of our inner self, mental peace, and a healthy lifestyle. And yes, its possible to achieve, via you guessed it, meditation and yoga. Don't you worry, 'm gonna keep this short and quick... ;-)

With this post, I'm also gonna introduce my Big Bro, my guide to this ever lasting energy with which I never fail to reach every goal I've ever set out for myself. My elder brother, Siddharth Kar:

Since 80% of my total readers are youngsters, I'm pretty sure this isn't something that might strike your interest. True. But unfortunately, we don't live in the 80s, when world used to be slow, jobs used to be ample, air used to be fresh, food used to be organic, people used to be nicer, and in short, life used to be beautiful!

With every passing day, We are entering a race track of a world now, plunged along its way the hurdles soo unrealistic and strenuous, with the ass of an excuse we call our society and the people in it, and the ever increasing stress and pressure between the ears! Pretty big reason to think about!

Having said that, I'd consider your interest stricken, and move on to the next part of this rant. the benefits of Yoga and Meditation, and how can it help us all to overcome the problems I pointed out in the above para.

Yoga is a 5000-year-old Indian body of knowledge. Though many think of yoga only as a physical exercise where people twist, turn, stretch, and breathe in the most complex ways, these are actually only the most superficial aspect of this profound science of unfolding the infinite potentials of the human mind and soul. The science of Yoga imbibes the complete essence of the Way of Life.

Siddharth, who's for a matter of fact, the international teacher at The Art Of Living, and conducts yoga, meditation and happiness workshops all around the globe, has over the years learned these facts and chose to help the younger, and struggling generations of the society from the pains of real world!

In the words of my big brother,
``Equanimity is yoga. Yoga is state of mind.
Yoga helps us to abide with the self.´´
By doing yoga daily, and meditating for just an hour, you'd be surprised how energetic and calm you'd stay for the rest of the day.

Meditation is that which gives you deep rest. Meditation is an activity in which the practitioner just sits and allows the mind to dissolve.

So if you do want to live a happy and healthy life, then take my advice and start doing yoga and meditation daily.

You can also join AOL's Meditation groups at your location and do any of their courses, that are listed on their official website at: www.artofliving.org

This concludes my post and hopefully begins a series of new healthy life choices for you.

  2. The lifestyle of Western societies can lead many people to suffer stress , causing psychological health problems such as depression , anxiety , etc. A study by Thirthalli and Naveen (2013) shows that treatment with yoga reduces cortisol levels , a hormone that is released in response to stress.

Cortisol is necessary for the body as it regulates and mobilizes energy in stressful situations, but if we have too much or it increases in situations that we don't need it, it produces many side effects. By practicing yoga we can lower the levels of this hormone, and therefore, reduce stres

  3. Brahmanism dates back to containing sacred scriptures called "the Vedas". These scriptures contained instructions and incantations. It was in the oldest text "Rg-Veda" from the scriptures that the word Yoga first appeared, this was nearly 5000 years ago.Pháp Luân Đại Pháp
